Sav Rae Jackson is a visual & written archivist and storyteller with a special passion for filmmaking, photography, and creative writing. As an enthusiastic screenwriter + filmmaker, + portraiture she is committed to telling artistic & authentic stories that reflect colorful communities through a multidisciplinary lens.

Through filmmaking, screenwriting, portraiture, and archival photography, Sav creates work that most naturally honors Black, queer, and gender-expansive experiences. Motivated by a deep infatuation with the nonlinear nature of coming-of-age, her work centers the impactful stories of the ordinary. She views coming-of-age not as a fixed genre or trope, but as a wheel that continues to turn through every season of life.

For Sav, this constant evolution is proof of life and a reflection of personal and communal growth.
